Dreamcast: Sega's 128bit effort was just starting to get off it's feet with some pretty damn decent shmups being released for it, including a port of the Nintendo 64's Bakuretsu Muteki Bangaioh. It seems like the graphical capabilities of the DC are being used to shunt some seriously manic blasters to the console, but before we knew it, the system was dead. Bah. Pick one up cheap then.
